Nepal Irrigation Project In COVID Update – May 2021

After a year off in 2020 due to COVID 19, building of the irrigation canal has started up again! The timeline for the construction on the canal is restricted to a few brief weeks during the year where the fields are free of crops following harvest. A tractor is now available to be used to transport irrigation materials over the ‘empty’ fields to the building location. Because of this, construction takes place in between the planting of different crops.

COVID is not over in Nepal and cases have jumped recently and the country is once again in lockdown.  Fortunately a short window did allow the village to make some progress on the next section of the canal.
