Victoria is the capital city of the province of British Columbia and is located on the southern tip of Vancouver Island. The city has a population of 86,000, while the metropolitan area of Greater Victoria has a population of almost 400,000 making it the 15th most populous Canadian urban region. Victoria is well known for its climate, natural beauty, and gardens. Located in a sub-Mediterranean zone, Victoria enjoys the mildest climate in Canada. It is home to a dynamic, thriving economy, vibrant arts & culture scene, and with an unparalleled natural environment enjoyed by residents and visitors.

The thriving technology sector has risen to be its largest revenue-generating private industry. The city has a large non-local student population and is also popular with retirees, who come to enjoy the temperate climate as well as the relaxed pace of the city.

ICO’s business office is in Victoria and the ICO Victoria Community has the largest membership within ICO, many who are involved as pro-bono ICO Team Members. These team members provide support to the organization as a whole and to local Initiatives.
