Warm greetings from Kenya! On behalf of all the learners supported by the Nakuru-Meru Child Sponsorship Program, from primary school to university, I send heartfelt thanks to Innovative Communities.org who continue to stand in the gap for these children. Because of your generosity, hundreds of young lives are being transformed everyday.
Campus Student Progress
Nahashon N. Mburu
- Final-year law student at Kenya School of Law, Nairobi
- Staying focused despite past challenges
- No academic concerns reported – he’s on track to finish strong
Winfred G. Holland
- Special Education major at Mt. Kenya University, Thika Campus
- Recently completed her teaching practice
- Pursuing a short beauty course to complement her education
- Resilient, focused, and thriving after overcoming many difficulties
Primary School Learner Updates
All schools reopened successfully for Term 2, with no negative reports from school administrators or guardians.
Nakuru Region
- Avril Wanjiku Kimani – Grade 6, Bishop Ndingi Primary School
- Gladys Wairimu Wainaina – Grade 6, St. Clare Mixed Primary School
Meru Region
- Blessy Kayume – Grade 3, Nkinyang’a Primary School
- Gladys Mwenda – Grade 7, St. Mark Thathimwene Junior Secondary School
All learners are in school, with fees and basic needs fully covered.
Empowering Pokot Girls at St. Luke’s Kasitet Schools
This group of brave girls comes from a community where women’s voices are often silenced and education is undervalued. Thanks to Fr. Maxwell, Fr. Fredrick, and the Holland family, the child sponsorship program is giving them a new future.
- All 12 girls successfully completed Term 1 and started Term 2
- Holiday programs were held to keep them engaged and safe
- Mr. and Mrs. Holland funded essential holiday support activities
Their journey is more than education—it’s about empowerment, safety, and rewriting their futures.
