Nepal Irrigation Project Update – May 2026
Repairs Underway for the Nepal Irrigation Project

For over a decade, the ICO Irrigation Initiative has been a lifeline for local agriculture. We are pleased to share that maintenance and repairs have officially begun on select sections of our 3km irrigation canal.

A Decade of Growth

Since its inception over ten years ago, this project has transformed the landscape and the livelihoods of the village:

  • Production Boost: The system has driven a 60% increase in crop production, ensuring food security and economic stability for the community.
  • Resilient Infrastructure: The overall irrigation system remains in excellent condition, continuing to facilitate bountiful harvests year after year.
  • Ongoing Stewardship: To ensure this success continues for the next decade, our team is currently focused on reinforcing small sections of the canal to maintain peak efficiency.

See the Progress

The latest photos from the field show the hard work going into these vital repairs. From mixing materials to structural stonework, these efforts keep the water flowing to the fields that need it most.

Your support makes this long-term impact possible. By investing in infrastructure, we are investing in the self-sufficiency of the village for generations to come.
