As part of a previous ICO sponsored health camp was a Days for Girls. ICO paid for 100 kits consisting of washable maxi pads, underwear and soap. In the developing world menstruation can cause young women to miss school due to not having adequate ways to manage their period. The kits were made in Nepal giving women meaningful employment. Rotary was able to distribute the kits and nurses oriented the young women about female health and care for the reusable sanitary pads.
