Nepal Kaski Education Update – November 2022

Each of our 6 sponsored students continues to do well in college and university. Classes have been in the school setting for a while now, so a sense of normalcy has returned with no shutdowns or online learning required. Most of our sponsored students had to move in order to go to school, and they are reliant on donors to pay for their room and board. Our primary school students live in difficult conditions and are doing as well as can be expected.

Our latest college scholarship was awarded to Kushum. She was previously sponsored by ICO as a medical lab assistant and excelled in her classes. Now she has been accepted for a 3-year Medical Laboratory Technologist (MLTs) degree, the outcome of an extremely difficult competition. We are proud that she has been selected and are confident she will excel. Kushum does not have a monthly sponsor right now; thus, ICO has been able to guarantee her sponsorship for only year 1 of her studies.

Some of our students are jointly sponsored by a few monthly donors, allowing us to continue sponsoring students like Kushum.  Consider donating to help support Kushum’s Medical Lab Technologist tuition by putting her name in the comment box when you donate.
