In the meantime!

Your assistance is requested in helping to preserve the Muir Creek watershed west of Sooke as parkland and thus protect it from urban sprawl. The Timber West Company, who currently own virtually all of the land in the watershed, is actively logging in the area.  The company’s long-range plans include selling property there for residential development.  The Muir Creek Preservation Society is requesting  concerned residents to write to the premier and environment minister (Premier Campbell-
premier@gov.bc.ca and Barry Penner env.minister@gov.bc.ca ) to preserve Muir creek (West of Sooke)  as Parkland.
